LSA Servicing Firms
Information on persons certified by manufacturers to carry out
periodic servicing of lifeboats and launching appliances
The IMO “Guidelines for Periodic Servicing and Maintenance of Lifeboats, Launching Appliances and On-load Release Gear”
(MSC.1/Circ.1206) state that annual thorough examinations and operations tests,
five-year-periodical thorough examinations and operations tests conducted under 1.1 times overload conditions,
as well as repairs are to be carried out by the manufacturer’s representative or a person appropriately trained and
certified by the manufacturer to conduct such tests and examinations (hereunder referred to as the “manufacturer’s certified representative”).
A list of lifeboat and launching appliance manufacturers and, where available,
links to respective manufacturer’s certified representatives is presented below based on information received by the Society from each manufacturer.
Detailed information on each manufacturer certified representative can be found by clicking on the name of the manufacturer in the list.
In cases where information on the service network or appropriately certified representative has not been provided by the manufacturer,
please contact the manufacturer directly for details.
NOTE:
In cases where information on the manufacturer’s certified representative is not available, please follow the instructions set forth by the Administration.
