Effective 1 October, the Development Department has been expanded into a new Development Operations Headquarters, which is managed by the current Development Department general manager. The Development Operations Headquarters is comprised of three departments: the Hull Rules Department, the Machinery Rules Department and the International Rules Development Department.

In addition, the Tanker Section has been split off from the Hull Department and renamed the “Natural Resources and Energy Department”.
