Sub.	"IHM Certificate to Part I of the Inventory of Hazardous Materials" and "EU Regulation on Ship Recycling" for Japanese flagged ships

This technical information, hereinafter referred to "TEC", introduces the guidelines on both "IHM Certificate to Part I of the Inventory of Hazardous Materials" and "EU Regulation on Ship Recycling" applicable to Japanese flagged ships, consolidating both TEC-1184 and TEC-1223. This TEC supersedes TEC-1184 and TEC-1223 which are being consolidated. The Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships, 2009, hereinafter referred to "The Convention", was adopted in May 2009. The Convention has yet to enter into force, but the Japanese law for Ship Recycling was promulgated on June 20, 2018, and the relevant ordinance was enacted.
