Please be informed that the Tokyo MOU recently issued a Press Release announcing the launch of the following PSC Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) in 2016.

1. Outline of CIC

Focus of CIC: Cargo Securing Arrangements
CIC period: From 1 September 2016 to 30 November 2016

Please refer to the questionnaire "CIC on Cargo Securing Arrangements" in the attached Press Release for details on the specific items to be targeted in CIC.

Also, please note that the Indian Ocean MOU and Black Sea MOU have also issued press releases announcing that concentrated inspection campaigns targeting the same items (using the same questionnaire) will be held during the same period in their respective jurisdictions.

2. ClassNK supplementary explanations for these concentrated inspections
ClassNK would like to supplement the explanations about the questionnaires that the PSC officers will use during the respective concentrated inspection campaigns. Kindly make use of this additional information on the questionnaire when making advanced preparations for this campaign, accordingly.

- A cargo securing manual is not required for vessels carrying only cargoes that are not required to be secured, such as solid and liquid bulk cargoes.
