With regard to regulations on the sulphur content of fuel oil within Chinese emission control areas as previously informed in ClassNK Technical Information No.TEC-1060, TEC-1063, TEC-1068 and TEC-1088, please be advised of the following additional information.

As for regulations for maximum limits on fuel oil sulphur content of 0.5% within the Yangtze River Delta emission control area, it was notified that the regulations has applied from 1 April 2016 to all ships berthing at core ports and the regulations will apply from 1 January 2018 to all ships berthing at all port. According to information notified by "Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China", the regulations starting on 1 January 2018 has been early enforced from 1 September 2017.
