The Liberia Maritime Authority has revised Marine Notice ISP-003 (in July 2025) regarding the implementation of LRIT Conformance Test for Liberian flagged ships. Therefore, the contents of the previous ClassNK Technical Information No. TEC-1319 (dated 8 March 2024) have been updated accordingly.
This Technical Information supersedes the previous ClassNK Technical Information No. TEC-1319.

Regarding LRIT conformance test, Liberia Maritime Authority published Marine Notice ISP-003 Rev.07/25. A summary of Marine Notice ISP-003 Rev.07/25 is as below.

1. Commencing 1 January 2024, all Conformance Test Reports will be issued with validity not exceeding twelve (12) months from the anniversary of the applicable conformance test completion date.

2. As of 1 April 2024, an annual conformance test shall be conducted annually based on the anniversary date (completion date) of the applicable conformance test; which shall be the latest of the conformance tests carried out:
･ upon vessel registration;
･ upon vessel re-registration;
･ upon change of LRIT equipment; or
･ prior 1 January 2024.

ClassNK surveyors will confirm that the Conformance Test Report is still valid at SE annual, periodical, and renewal surveys.
