The Greek Government has notified ClassNK for the extension of hydraulic pressure test for CO2 bottles and fire extinguishers of non-passenger vessels on board the Greek flag vessels as follows:

Hydraulic pressure test of CO2 bottles and fire extinguishers for non-passenger vessels specified by the Greek Government can be extended by the Administration or the attending classification society issuing the vessel's statutory certificates, if there is no possibility to perform the test due to unavailability of shore facilities at specific ports or due to vessel's tight schedule. This extension can be given to the next port of call with availability of relevant shore facilities and can be given provided that after inspection of the relevant bottles by the Administration or the Classification Society surveyor they appear to be in good order and well maintained. This extension cannot exceed 12 months and if during this period special survey of the vessel is due the hydraulic pressure test must be carried out during special survey.
