The stored position of the additional life raft required by SOLAS Reg.III/31.1.4 has been included in the "work stations" mentioned in SOLAS Reg.III/32.3.3 by Res.MSC216(82). Then additional immersion suits are required for that life raft by this amendment. ClassNK Technical Information No.TEC-0691 and TEC-0698 are referred to the details.
Please be noticed the handling of ClassNK for this amendment as follows. This handling is valid ONLY if each Government or Administration does not notice their instructions.
Number of the immersion suits is at least 2 sets according to IACS UI SC213. And compliance with this regulation is confirmed at the first periodical safety equipment survey (Initial, Annual and Renewal) on or after 1 July 2008.
The instructions of the Governments or Administrations will be noticed by ClassNK Technical Information when they notice them.
