The Singapore Government has noticed ClassNK of the special requirements adopted by MSC253(83) for navigation lights, navigation light controllers and associated equipment, adopted by MSC253(83), onboard the Singapore flagged vessels (Surveys Circular No.6/2008).

The Director of Marine has decided to make the performance standards for navigation lights, navigation light controllers and associated equipment set out in the Annex of Resolution MSC.253(83) mandatory for ships the keels of which are laid on or after 1 January 2009.

As it is very urgent notice, the Surveys Circular concerned is attached on this information.
