ClassNK has issued Technical Information No.TEC-0922 dated 22 August 2014 regarding Equipment for the Singapore flag vessels. Additional acceptance letter (FSC 2.6.01) was newly issued from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

Previously the following equipment was to be accepted by MPA to be installed for use onboard Singapore registered ships (refer to TEC-0922 (1) c)).

According to the letter (FSC 2.6.01), all of the following equipments are acceptable for use onboard being subject to onboard inspection, including confirmation of the conformity to the latest regulations, to be carried out by ClassNK and both copies of the relevant production certificates and the letter (FSC 2.6.01) to be placed onboard the ship.

・ Equipment that is type-approved and certified by Nippon Hakuyohin Kentei Kyokai (HK) on behalf of the Government of Japan (JG)
・ Equipment that is acceptable upon inspection, verification and testing (as applicable) by HK on behalf of JG based on prototype approvals by JG
