We are enclosing herewith instructions regarding the subject matter received from the government of Cyprus. According to the instructions all Cyprus flag ships carrying dangerous goods, regardless of the date of their construction, are to comply with the requirements of SOLAS Reg. II-2/54.1 and 54.2, and be furnished with valid documents of compliance for the carriage of dangerous goods provided in SOLAS Reg. II-2/54.3, while under the provisions of SOLAS, the requirements are applicable only to those ships constructed on or after 1 September 1984.
