The Administration of Malaysia has notified ClassNK that the lifting appliances with Safe Working Load (SWL) for 5 tons or more installed on board the Malaysian flagged ships are to be surveyed and certificated by the Recognised Organisation (RO). This is applied for new and existing ships.

For the above appliances which has not been registered to us currently, ClassNK site office in charge carries out the registration survey and issues the certificates after reviewing the related drawings/documents by ClassNK Material and Equipment Department (ClassNK EQD).

In this regard, please submit "Application for Initial Survey of Cargo Handling Appliances (CG-APP)" and the related drawings/documents to ClassNK EQD.
