The Netherlands Government has notified of its requirements for on board training and drills on Netherlands flag ships, which are reproduced below for information.

Ships equipped with liferafts of the davit launched type shall carry out an operational test ( inflate and lower the liferaft by and with the crew ) at least once a year.
The exercise may be carried out with an identical liferaft from a service station.

A free-fall lifeboat shall be launched at least once every 6 months with its assigned crew aboard. If the ship has arrangements for a so called "simulated drop" the period may be extended to 12 months. A letter of NSI ( Netherlands Shipping Inspectorate ), approving a equivalent means of training, shall be on board.
