Summary of LSA Code amendments adopted by Marine Safety Committee (MSC) at the 87th session
Marine Safety Committee (MSC) has amended LSA Code by Res.MSC.293(87) at the 87th session. Revised points are mentioned as attached. Please refer to the attachment of Summary of Revised LSA Code and RESOLUTION MSC.293(87).
Revised point by Res.MSC.293(87):
- Liferafts (an average mass of 82.5kg per person for a cargo ship and a passenger ship)
The requirement will be applied for the liferafts installed for ships the keels of which are laid on or after 1 January 2012.
At this time, the following flag states will treat the same application with ClassNK. For the other flag states, the information will be issued when the instruction for this matter is given from the flag states.
