As a result, the previous Merchant Marine Circular MMC-380, which prescribed the measures to reduce the number of PSC detentions and to improve the performance, has been repealed. The related survey, audit, and reporting procedures prescribed in MMC-380 have been replaced by those prescribed in MMC-405. This Technical Information supersedes the previous ClassNK Technical Information No.TEC-1326 (dated June 21, 2024).
